The cd-ad-sponsor Plug-in installation is straight forward. It does not require a special configuration.
Follow this procedure to install the cd-ad-sponsor plug-in.
- Download the cd-ad-sponsor plug-in file,
- Extract the files locally,
- FTP the files to the WordPress Plugins folder,
- Activate the cd-ad-sponsor plug-in.
- If you are running WordPress multisite, ensure the plug-in is activated site-wide.

The cd-ad-sponsor plug-in creates specific database tables related to managing your sponsor ads. These tables may or may not be modified when new features are added to the plug-in. The following tables are created by the cd-ad-sponsor plug-in.
- cd_ad_sponsor
- This table maintains sponsor related information.
- cd_ad_sponsor_banners
- This table maintains Banner Ad related information.
- cd_ad_sponsor_clickthrough
- This table maintains ad click statistics.
- cd_ad_sponsor_excluded
- This table maintains IP addresses to be excluded from statistical information.
- cd_ad_sponsor_program
- This table maintains program type information related to each sponsor.
- cd_ad_sponsor_reports
- This table maintains statistical report information. Future release.
- cd_ad_sponsor_revenue
- This table maintains revenue type information related to your advertising rates.
- cd_ad_sponsor_rotation
- This is an internal table used to track currently displayed ads within each zone.
- cd_ad_sponsor_schedule
- This table maintains ad scheduling information.
- cd_ad_sponsor_zones
- This table maintains zone information.
Note: These tables are removed only during the uninstall procedure. Deactivating the cd-ad-sponsor plug-in does not remove the tables from the database. All information is maintained.
