The cd-ad-sponsor program is a WordPress plug-in designed to help you manage your sponsor ads that you place on your web site.

The cd-ad-sponsor plug-in manages graphic- and text-based banner advertisements from sponsors. Graphic-based ads may or may not conform to the IAB Ad Unit Guidelines. There is no restriction, however, on the size of your graphic-based sponsor's ads. Text-based banner ads contain mostly anchor tags wrapping text links but may contain smaller images, such as icons. They are often presented using JavaScript, such as Google AdSense and those ads obtained from Amazon, Commission Junction, etc.

There are many features that allow you to manage your sponsor ads. The cd-ad-sponsor Plug-in maintains a list of your sponsors, their associated Ads, including program types, revenue types, and scheduling, and the click-through and impressions resulting from the presentation of each AD.

Sponsor contact information includes site URLs, log in credentials, and support contact information. You may define any number of Sponsors.
Program types include Pay Per Sign up (PPS), Revenue Sharing (REV), a referral program (REF), etc. Some sponsors offer more than one option for each program type, such as with or without a trial period. You may define any number of Program Types.
Revenue Types are pre-defined as CPC (Cost Per Click), CPM (Cost Per Thousand impressions), or CPD (Cost Per Day). You may define any number of additional Revenue Types.
Zones are specific locations on your site where sponsor ads are presented. You may define any numbr of Zones.
Banner Ads are graphic or text (script-) based creatives that are presented on your site. You may define any number of Banner Ads.
Schedules specify which Banner Ads are presented at a given time. You may define any number of Schedules.
A default ad (placeholder) may be defined when no sponsor ad is available. A default link then re-directs the user to your ad purchase page.
